Plot
The film follows Aarav (Vikrant Massey), a gifted but visually impaired musician who finds solace in composing melodies that capture the beauty he cannot see. Despite his blindness, he lives with quiet dignity and an unyielding optimism, believing that the world is best experienced through emotions rather than sight. During a train journey from Mussoorie to Dehradun, Aarav meets Riya (Shanaya Kapoor), a spirited young theater artist traveling alone. Their conversation begins awkwardly but soon blossoms into a deep, lyrical exchange. Aarav hides his blindness, and Riya—drawn to his charm and sensitivity—paints vivid pictures of the world outside the window. Their connection is immediate, filled with unspoken intimacy and playful banter. As the train winds through valleys, tunnels, and mountains, they share dreams, fears, and philosophies about love and art. Aarav is mesmerized not by her appearance, but by the warmth in her voice and the honesty in her words. Riya, in turn, is captivated by his perspective on life—seeing through emotions rather than eyes. The journey becomes a metaphor for love discovered in fleeting moments. But just as the bond between them deepens, the train reaches Riya’s destination. She departs, leaving Aarav with only the memory of their conversation and the echo of her laughter. When another passenger enters, Aarav casually asks if the girl was as beautiful as her voice. With quiet irony, the passenger replies: “Didn’t you notice? She was blind too.” This revelation shatters Aarav’s heart yet leaves him with an unspoken connection—a love story unfinished but eternal. The film ends with Aarav returning to his music, now infused with a haunting, bittersweet melody titled “Aankhon Ki Gustaakhiyan.”
