Plot

Set in the early 2000s in Pune, Kapkapiii follows a group of seven quirky bachelors, led by the skeptical but affable Raghu (Tusshar Kapoor), who share a dilapidated rented house. Struggling with boredom, unpaid bills, and aimless routines, their lives take a turn when one of them, Sameer (Shreyas Talpade), introduces a Ouija board to spice up their nights. What starts as a joke quickly spirals into chaos when they unwittingly establish contact with a spirit claiming to be “Chhaya,” a local woman who died under mysterious circumstances. At first, the presence seems harmless and even amusing, with the group treating the interactions as a game. But as strange occurrences intensify—flickering lights, eerie dreams, and objects moving on their own—the friends begin to question whether they’ve unleashed something far more sinister than they bargained for. The horror is laced with hilarity as each member of the group reacts differently—some turn to spiritual solutions, others to science, and one simply tries to ignore it all. The arrival of Meera (Siddhi Idnani), a new tenant with a mysterious connection to the house’s past, further deepens the mystery. As tensions rise and friendships are tested, the gang must confront their fears and the dark secret behind Chhaya’s death to free themselves from the haunting. A quirky mix of scares and laughs, Kapkapiii blends supernatural thrills with slice-of-life humor, touching on themes of friendship, guilt, and redemption.
