Plot

Sarzameen unfolds in the conflict-ridden valleys of Kashmir, where Colonel Arjun Rawat (Prithviraj Sukumaran), a decorated Indian Army officer, is known for his valor and unshakable loyalty to the nation. Behind the uniform, however, lies a fractured family life. Years of estrangement from his wife Zoya (Kajol) and son Azaan (Ibrahim Ali Khan) have left deep emotional scars. Arjun’s world is turned upside down when intelligence inputs reveal that Azaan has been radicalized and joined a militant outfit operating in the valley. Struggling to reconcile the soldier’s duty with a father’s love, Arjun is assigned to lead an operation that directly pits him against his own son. As Arjun navigates treacherous terrain and the shadowy networks of militancy, the film delves into the complex reasons that drove Azaan into extremism—alienation, anger, and the absence of a father figure. Zoya, caught between love for her son and faith in her husband, becomes the emotional anchor, forcing both men to confront their choices. What follows is a gripping blend of high-stakes action, tense father-son confrontations, and moral dilemmas about loyalty, identity, and sacrifice.
